The gifts were well received. The bugs went mostly well; the armoured carapaces went as planned. The red-black keratin worked well too! Flesh was… as difficult as ever. Three layers from black up to white, then a pink, then yellow. It… eventually worked.
The mechs had less polish than usual but I liked the freehanding and the purple shadows were good practice for my synthwave Tau later. Also, more practice with NMM steel.
The elves though, whoof. Way more work than I expected. Almost entirely speedpaint, and I admit they look pretty good, but fuuuuuck speedpaint on wide clean areas.
HOWEVER, I’ll admit I’m super pleased with the barn owl look I managed on this rider.
